Town hall to discuss
DoD school issues
A town hall meeting to discuss schools and education on Fort Knox will be led by Maj. Gen. Jeff Smith, Cadet Command and Fort Knox commander, March 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Waybur Theater. All parents are invited to attend.
Combatives Center opening March 22
The grand opening ceremony for the Modern Army Combatives Center, located in Kelley Hall, Bldg. 1610, will be March 22 at 3 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
The facility is for Soldier use only; unit training must be scheduled through the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security at 624-2591, but open mat time is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. For more information, contact Master Sgt. Phillip Mays at 624-2430.
Blood drive coming to FKHS March 19
The Red Cross is holding a blood drive in the Fort Knox High School student parking lot March 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students 16 years and older, staff and parents are encouraged to donate. The Red Cross provides a scholarship award based on the number of units collected.
