Plant free trees
for Earth Day

To celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day, the Fort Knox Natural Resources Branch will be giving away free tree seedlings outside of the Fort Knox Exchange main entrance April 26 from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Seedlings available include White Dogwood, Redbud, and White Pine, and will be handed out while supplies last with a limit of two per person. The Fort Knox Recycling Branch will also be handing out free sport water bottles while supplies last. Finally, Smokey Bear will stop by to meet and greet the youngsters. Planting a tree is a great way for families to show their support and concern for the environment and their community.

The Saber & Quill’s Administrative Professionals Luncheon will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The menu includes roast beef, turkey, cheesy mashed potatoes, rice pilaf, vegetables, salad, and ice cream sundaes. Dispose of expired drugs April 27

The Army Substance Abuse Prevention Program in conjunction with the Directorate of Emergency Services and the Fort Knox MEDDAC Pharmacy will be sponsoring a one-day Turn in Your Prescription Drugs for Disposal at the Main Exchange’s front lobby April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is an opportunity to safely dispose of prescription drugs that you no longer use or are outdated.
