Patriot Day ceremony
Fort Knox PAO
Fort Knox’s Patriot Day ceremony will be at the Patton Museum, which begins at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday. Foam 161—the 9/11 Pentagon fire truck—will also be unveiled at the ceremony as a centerpiece addition to the museum’s 9/11 exhibit on leadership.
On Tuesday, Foam 161 will be loaded onto a trailer and driven down U.S. Highway 31W from Fort Knox, around the downtown Elizabethtown, Ky., roundabout, and back to Fort Knox from 2 to 4 p.m. Community members are encouraged to line 31W to pay their respects to this piece of American history.
