MLK observance
today at Waybur

The 2014 Martin Luther King Jr. observance will be today. Hosted by the U.S. Army Cadet Command and Fort Knox, the event begins at 11:30 a.m. in Waybur Theater. The keynote speaker will be the Rev. James Price, assistant Pastor at Rock of Salvation Christian Ministries. Supervisors are encouraged to allow their employees to attend.

remembers fallen NCO

3-1 PAO
The memorial ceremony on Fort Knox in honor of Sgt. 1st Class William K. Lacey will be at 10 a.m. Jan 30 at O’Neill Chapel. Assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Lacey was killed Jan. 4 when the enemy attacked his unit with rocket propelled grenades.
Routine maintenance closes gates
Provost Marshal
Chaffee Gate will be closed Sunday from 6-10 a.m. and Wilson Gate will be closed Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. for scheduled maintenance. Motorists are reminded to use alternate gates during these times.

deadline tomorrow

Fort Knox PAO
Due to the Martin Luther King holiday observed Monday, the Gold Standard deadline for submissions will be tomorrow at noon.
Water outage
scheduled Tuesday

There will be a scheduled water outage Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the modification of a water main. A boil water advisory will be issued for Bldgs. 634, 636, 702, 704, 706, and 708 on West Chaffee Ave.
