Black History Month Observance Feb. 20
The public is invited to attend the Fort Knox Black History Month Observance at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 20 in the Saber & Quill Signature Room. The event will be hosted by Maj. Gen. Allen Batschelet of U.S. Army Recruiting Command. The keynote speaker will be John Johnson, executive director, Kentucky Human Rights Commission. A food sampling will follow the event.
Space heaters restricted
The use of space heaters on Fort Knox requires a letter of approval signed by director of Public Works and Fire Prevention. Parking lot, street closed for ceremony
Sixth Avenue in front of Bldgs. 1109 and 1110, and the adjacent parking lot, will be blocked all day for the post change of command ceremony March 6. If the ceremony is moved indoors due to inclement weather, the Waybur Theater parking lot and a portion of Old Ironsides Avenue will be blocked off as well.

Due to the holiday Monday the deadline for Feb. 20 Gold Standard submissions will be tomorrow at noon.
Next range briefing being held Tuesday
There will be no range safety briefings given today. The next available class will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
Training offered for child care
Become a certified Family Child Care Provider with Child, Youth, School Services and provide child care in your home for ages infant through 5th grade.
