Lunch accounts must be zeroed out
The Fort Knox Community Schools Child Nutrition Department reminds parents and legal guardians, as the end of the 2013-2014 school year approaches, all student meal accounts must be in a zero or positive balance by close of business May 23. Any account in a negative status after May 23 is subject to a wage garnishment through the DD Form139 process with an additional $50 service fee added to the total wage garnishment. Final payment reminders will be sent home May 22, if the student’s account has less than $3.85 in the meal account.
Parents who have seniors enrolled at Fort Knox High School, student lunch accounts must be at a zero balance by close of business May 20.
For account balances, student sponsors should contact the school cafeteria(s) or email FKCS.Foodservice@am.dodea.edu. Any money left in a child’s account will be carried over to
the next school year as long as the child remains in the Fort Knox school district. Payments can be made at the individual schools, or online at www.lunchprepay.com, or at Crittenberger Central Staff Offices, located in Keyes Park.

The Gold Vault Chapter of the Adjutant General’s Corps Regimental Associ-ation announces it will award four scholarships to four Fort Knox High School students during its AG ball festivities May 9 in Louisville. The winners are their awards are as follows: Emily Genet-$1,500, Michael Fisher-$1,000, Michael Galan-$500 and Redmond Johnson-$500.
High School yearbooks
available for purchase
The Fort Knox High School yearbook is still for sale, but it can no longer be purchased online. Books must be purchased at the school. A $20 deposit will reserve a book, and the balance can be paid prior to distribution. Checks and cash are accepted. The current cost of the book is $55. An engraved name plate can be purchased for an additional $5. Contact Ms. Hibberd if you have any questions.
