Retirees and Family members are invited to participate in medical screenings, seminars, and more at the annual Retiree Appreciation Days event at the Leaders Club on Fort Knox Oct. 30-31.
Approximately 40 booths will be set up by the Fort Knox community and independent organizations. Ireland Army Community Hospital will offer free flu shots (if vaccine is available) to retirees and their spouses and conduct screenings that will include glaucoma, blood pressure, diabetes, and body fat.
Seminars will address Fort Knox transformation, federal health
benefits, Tricare, a Kentucky Historical Society presentation, the PX Commission and Advisory Board, and memorial honors.
At 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30, a banquet will be hosted to honor retirees and their families. Pradeep Gidwani, the regional director for Tricare North, will be the guest speaker.
The purpose of Retiree Appreciation Days is to show appreciation to the region’s retirees and their spouses and provide them with the information they need and deserve.
