STAFF SGT. TREBOR DEEDS WAS RECENTLY NAMED SOLDIER OF THE WEEK at Dover Air Force Base where he works in the Joint Personal Effects Depot as the noncommissioned officer in charge of personal protection equipment. Although based at Dover, Del., JPED is part of the Human Resources Command headquartered at Fort Knox.
HUMAN RESOURCES COMMAND HOSTED A MEETING AT FORT KNOX JUNE 26-27 WITH REPRESENTATIVES from several Army programs that have varying levels of coordination with industry for Soldiers in transition. The meeting focused on facilitating, integrating and creating synergy for an “Army to industry” connection strategy. Army programs represented at the summit were: Partnership for Youth Success, Warrior Transition Command, Employer Partnership Office, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Army Career and Alumni Program, Office of Chief of Public Affairs and Chief of Staff of the Army’s Soldier for Life program.
