Fort Knox access changes approaching for nonmilitary affiliated KY residents

Kentucky is not in compliance with the REAL ID Act, has not been granted a renewed extension, and will be subject to REAL ID enforcement starting Jan. 30. The act establishes minimum security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards. By law federal agencies, including Fort Knox, will not accept for official purposes driver’s licenses and state ID cards from Kentucky and other noncompliant states.
