Knox celebrating
July 4th

Maj. Gen. Jeff Smith, U. S. Army Cadet Command and Fort Knox commander, invites the Fort Knox and the surrounding communities to an Independence Day ceremony at 10 a.m. July 3 at the Cadet Command headquarters flagpole.
A 51-round cannon in recognition of the states and U.S.  territories will be carried out as part of the event.
The 113th U.S. Army Band will provide patriotic music.
Guests attending may wear casual, business casual or duty uniform of the day.
S&Q, Waybur holding Dinner and a Movie
This month’s Dinner and a Movie will be tomorrow —featuring “Star Trek into Darkness” and pulled barbecue pork, hot dogs, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad and popsicles for dessert. Dinner will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Saber & Quill. The scifi/fantasy movie will be at the Waybur Theater at 7 p.m. Dinner and a Movie combo prices are as follows: adults are $10.50, children 5-11 years are $7.25 and children 4 years and under are free. MSB hosting change of command
The U. S. Army Mission Support Battalion will host a change of command ceremony
July 2 at 9:30 a.m. in Bldg. 206 on 9th Cavalry Regiment Avenue.
Lt. Col. James Perry will pass the battalion colors to Lt. Col. Barbara Streter.
The public is invited to attend.
