Maj. Gen. Smith to address community
Fort Knox PAO
Fort Knox Commander Maj. Gen. Jeff Smith is scheduled to host a town hall focused on providing an installation update. Open to the general public and scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center in Elizabethtown, Smith will cover such topics as the upcoming inactivation of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division; the installation’s ongoing and planned construction; U.S. Army Cadet Command transformation initiatives related to Fort Knox; an introduction of new Fort Knox leaders; and more. The PAC is located at 384 W. A. Jenkins Rd.  

PX/commissary council meeting tomorrow
The PX/commissary quarterly council meeting will be held in the Saber & Quill Woodford Reserve Room from 1 to 3 p.m. tomorrow.

Hospital observes Org Day tomorrow
Ireland Army Community Hospital will have reduced services tomorrow afternoon, due to the MEDDAC Organizational Day. Inpatient, Labor and Delivery, and the Emergency Department will be operating as normal. Some limited Specialty Care and Primary Care will remain open for patients with previously scheduled appointments.

Classic cars come to E’town Saturday
Cruisin’ the Heartland events begin in Elizabethtown tomorrow evening and the downtown streets will close at 10 a.m. Saturday when classic cars will be on display.
