Weapons mishap claims one Soldier’s life

A Soldier assigned to 75th Ranger Regiment, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, died in a weapons firing mishap in Camp Rilea, Oregon, Jan. 31. The Soldier was struck by a discharged round during a small-arms magazine change drill. The U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center is leading an investigation into the accident.

Pedestrian mishap claims one Soldier’s life

A first sergeant assigned to 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, and attached to U.S. Army Europe, died in a pedestrian mishap in Parsberg, Germany, Feb. 5. The Soldier was struck by a train while walking near the station.

PMV-4 mishap claims one Soldier’s life

A staff sergeant assigned to U.S. Army Recruiting Command died in a PMV-4 mishap near Denison, Iowa, Feb. 5. The Soldier was traveling while on terminal leave when he was involved in a multivehicle accident in winter weather conditions. He was wearing a seat belt.
