As a brilliant sunset faded in the western sky over Fort Knox Sept. 5, so did Hart County’s hopes of a win against the Lady Eagles eight games into the high school soccer season.

The Eagles took turns pounding the Lady Raiders’ net throughout the match, with five goals shared between five players — Abigail Donohue, Isabelle Loiselle, Cyla Reed, Sage Turdryn and Megan VanGilder.

On the other end of the field, keeper Jamya Meekins kept the Raiders’ goals to only two.

The win leveled the Eagles’ season at four wins and four losses.

Next up, the Eagles will come home for two games — against Breckinridge County Saturday at 10 a.m., and North Hardin Monday at 5:30 p.m.
