Revolution tryouts Saturday

Revolution will be holding try outs for the upcoming Spring Select Season. They are looking for players with a date of birth of Jan. 1, 2009 through Dec. 31, 2012. Try outs are free and will be held at Woodland Elementary, 6000 Woodland Drive, Radcliff, Saturday at 2 p.m., sign-in will start at 2 p.m., drills at 2:30. Players must bring completed contact sheet (located on the website www.radcliffyouthsoccer.org) water bottle, ball, shin guards and cleats. Referees, umpires, scorekeepers needed

The Fort Knox Official Association is in need of referees and umpires through the spring 2018 seasons for basketball, baseball, softball and soccer. Scorekeepers are also needed for each sport except soccer. Those interested can stop by the Youth Sports Complex to pick up a contractor packet. Youth Sports basketball registration

Fort Knox Youth Sports has extended coed basketball registration for 5-6 year olds through Dec. 15. Registration is open 8 a.m.–4 p.m. at the central registration office at Bldg. 1384 on Vine Street. There are 20 slots available. Participating children must be 5 years old by Dec. 15 and still 6 years old by Feb. 25, 2018, and family members of Fort Knox active duty, retired military, government or contract civilians. The cost is $40 per child. Parents will receive a 15-percent multiple child discount for each additional youth participating in the same sport. BeastMode intermediate course

offered for adults

BeastMode is offering an intermediate course for adults. The camp is open to 11th- graders to adults. The camp begins the week of Jan. 20, 2018-March 10, held each Saturday. The first session will be from 8-9:15 a.m. and the second session is from 9:45-11 a.m.

The maximum for each session is 16 on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost is $50 for all athletes and $40 for coaches (family member). The camp will be held at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 1182 Jones St. in Radcliff.

AAFES teams up with Comcast NBCUniversal to provide Olympic streaming coverage

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service and NBC Olympics said Nov. 8 that U.S. service members worldwide would again be able to watch Olympic streaming coverage from their desktop and personal devices when NBCUniversal presents the XXIII Olympic Winter Games from Pyeong Chang, South Korea, in February 2018. This benefit is provided to current U.S. service members, including Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard, to include active duty, Guard, Reserve and honorably-discharged veterans, by Comcast NBCUniversal, and in partnership with local cable, satellite, dMVPD and Telco providers.

Service members will be able to access Olympic coverage from their computers or personal devices by visiting NBCOlympics.com or the NBC Sports app, and choosing the Exchange as their service provider. Due to content rights restrictions, an active www.shopmyexchange.com account will be required to verify eligibility. Content rights restrictions will also apply to some outside continental United States locations.

Coverage of the 2018 Pyeong Chang Olympics begins Feb. 8.

Coaches wanted

Fort Knox Youth Sports is looking for coaches for its upcoming baseball, softball, soccer and volleyball seasons. All potential head and assistant coaches must attend a National Youth Sports Coaches Association clinic, complete a background and attend a child abuse and special needs class in order to coach. Those selected to be a head coach are authorized to sign up all their children in appropriate team sports for free throughout the season. BeastMode track camp for youth coming

BeastMode coaches presents a program for boys and girls in grades first through 10th grade. The camp begins the week of Jan. 16, 2018 through March 22. Camp days are every Tuesday and Thursday. The first session is from 6-7 p.m. and the second session is from 7:15-8:15 p.m. The camp will be held at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 1182 Jones St. in Radcliff.

The first session is for middle to high school and the second session is elementary school athletes.

The maximum number allowed for each session is 24. The cost is $75 for all athletes, $65 for additional athletes in the household, $50 for staff member’s athlete and any additional athletes in the household, $40 for coach athletes and $10 for any additional athletes in the household.
